Manchester City kept the heat on leaders Chelsea with a thumping 4-1 victory at Brighton on Sunday.
Since City last played in the league, they had been eliminated from the League Cup by Chelsea and the FA Cup on penalties by Tottenham.
But Gareth Taylor’s side bounced back with Lauren Hemp, Mary Fowler, Khadija Shaw and Laura Coombs finding the net.
