Jamie Carragher has hit out at Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo for 'playing like the game is in slow motion' against Manchester United on Sunday.

Liverpool's quadruple hopes went down in smoke after their bitter rivals Manchester United came from behind to secure a 4-3 victory in extra-time at Old Trafford.

Jurgen Klopp's side were left to rue a host of missed opportunities, after failing to put the game to bed in the second-half when they were the better side.

Liverpool legend Carragher described their attacking players as 'very poor' on Sunday, and singled out Netherlands international Gakpo for criticism.

He tweeted: 'Gakpo plays like the game is in slow motion.'
