Matt Peet has signed an historic new seven-year deal with Wigan Warriors following his incredible success in his time as head coach so far.
The 39-year-old was promoted to the top job at the DW Stadium in October 2021 but has already lifted every trophy going in rugby league.
Peet led Wigan to victory in the Challenge Cup in his first season in charge, before winning the League Leaders’ Shield and Grand Final last year, then the World Club Challenge last month.
Now Peet and his assistants, Sean O'Loughlin and Tommy Leuluai, have been rewarded for their efforts with contracts keeping them at the club until the end of the 2030 season.
‘This commitment is a sign of the faith the club and the supporters have in me and our team,’ said Peet.
