777Partners' takeover of Everton has reportedly been conditionally approved by the Premier League.
According to Bloomberg, the league wrote a letter last month in which it said that the board is currently minded to approve the deal. The board includes league chief executive officer Richard Masters, chair Alison Brittain and board member Mai Fyfield.
However, the conditional approval doesn't necessarily mean that the takeover will be given the go-ahead as it still needs to be ratified by an independent oversight panel.
In September last year, it was announced that 777Partners had reached an agreement to buy 94.1 per cent of Everton from current owner Farhad Moshiri.
