Sergio Aguero had high praise for the manager of one of former club Manchester City's biggest rivals when he shared that he would have loved to have played under Jurgen Klopp.
The former Cityzen broke Merseyside hearts on more than one occasion during his ruthlessly in-form tenure in the Premier League between 2011 and 2021.
The 35-year-old - who was forced to retire prematurely after being diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia shortly after his move to Barcelona three years ago - helped his former side claim their first Premier League in memorable style in his first season, and went on to win four more titles, three of them coming during Klopp's reign at Anfield.
But despite spending the bulk of his time in Manchester working under messianic head coach Pep Guardiola, Aguero admitted that it would have been a 'great experience' to play under the German manager at some point in his career due to his particular playing style.
'Terrific manager,' Aguero said of Klopp, to Stake, 'Klopp has certainly elevated Liverpool, allowing them to become a protagonist of the Premier League in recent years.
