Latvia defender Marcis Oss scored one of the fastest own goals ever after passing the ball into his own net against Liechtenstein on Tuesday after just 14 seconds.
The 32-year-old centre-back was left red-faced after the comical error that came almost immediately after kick off at the Antonis Papadopoulos stadium in Cyprus.
Liechtenstein pressed high as the referee got the game underway and soon found themselves holding a shock lead after less than a minute during the friendly encounter.
Oss initially watched on as his defensive partner headed away a ball directed towards Latvia's box before making the disastrous gaffe as he tried to pass back to his goalkeeper.
