Minnesota Twins draft pick Travis Adams helped rescue a neighbor from a house fire in Fort Myers, Florida on Monday.

Adams, 24, was in town for spring training when his neighbor's house caught fire just after 6pm ET on Monday, according to local new station, WINK

Before the Fort Myers Fire Department could respond to the call on Arlington Street, the baseball player, who was staying nearby, rushed across the street to the property.

Adams said he ran out of the house when his friend noticed the house across the street had gone up in flames to see if anyone was inside.

'No one knew and so me and the guy went to the front door and started like knocking on it,' he said, adding that 'someone had to break in the front window' during the fire.
