Gary Neville has shutdown three potential managers linked with the Manchester United job should Erik ten Hag get sacked from the role.

United's part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will reportedly assess his options if the Red Devils fail to secure a place in the Champions League.

England manager Gareth Southgate has been linked with the job, while Graham Potter and Gary O'Neil have also been mentioned. 

However, Southgate insisted he will refuse to speak to any club while in charge of the Three Lions and the FA are eager to keep him on until 2026 with a fresh deal.

Speaking on The Overlap about United's options, Neville said: 'As well as Gareth [Southgate] has done with England, I've never seen that as a fit with Man Utd.
