Rashee Rice appears braced for a legal battle after reports claimed he has retained counsel in the wake of a multi-car crash involving his vehicle on Saturday.

The Kansas City Chiefs star is being hunted by cops after shocking dashcam footage surfaced of a Dallas crash involving six cars, followed by a group of men walking away from the scene.

Rice has still not presented himself to police, and NFL reporter Josina Anderson tweeted on Sunday night: 'I'm told Chiefs WR Rashee Rice has retained counsel, per source. Separately, a release on the incident is expected sometime tomorrow [Monday].'

In the clip, a Lamborghini and a Corvette are filmed going at high speed and can be seen colliding with a grey car on the North Central Expressway, pulling the cars across the road. It has been claimed the Lamborghini and Corvette, which police suspect Rice was driving, were racing.

Five men from the Corvette and Lamborghini then appeared to walk away from the scene on the shoulder of the highway, as pictures from the scene show.

The Corvette involved in the collision is either owned by or leased to 23-year-old Rashee Rice
