A company connected to Michael Jordan has paid $16.5 million for mansion in an exclusive Florida golf community founded by golf legend by Jack Nicklaus.
Although a specific individual buyer has not been identified publicly, the South Florida Business Journal has compiled a number of clues that point to the billionaire Chicago Bulls legend and his wife, Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto.
For starters, the buyer of the 9,100-square-foot home owns another residence in the development that has previously been linked to Jordan through multiple media reports. Furthermore, the Jordans have also signed construction contracts with the company that bought the home, Bull & Bear LLC.
The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home was put on the market by AirWayz CEO Dr. Michael A. Murphy, and his wife, Marla. It’s actually 18,000 square feet smaller than the other address in the development owned by Jordan, which was built on 3.05 acres in 2013.
The newly purchased property, meanwhile, sits on just 0.9 acres and was last sold for $8.3 million in 2017.
