LSU running back Trey Holly will not be facing an attempted murder charge after it was rejected by a grand jury in Union Parish, Louisianna on Saturday.
The rising-sophomore turned himself in to the authorities in February after a shooting incident in Farmerville, LA led to two injuries. Holly's was one of the three arrests made concerning the shooting.
On Friday, The Advocate reported that he will be charged with one felony count of illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentality while avoiding the murder charges. He also initially was charged with aggravated criminal damage to property.
