Phil Foden revealed he had suffered a 'bad dead leg' after the Man City star was forced off by injury in the 3-3 draw at Real Madrid.
The England forward scored a stunning second-half goal but limped off with three minutes to go and replaced by Julian Alvarez.
Foden was visibly frustrated at being taken off on Tuesday night, but later admitted that he has been hurt following a heavy challenge.
Asked by TNT Sports if he is alright, Foden said: 'I hope so. I've got a bit of a bad dead leg, but I've got a bit of time to recover now, so hopefully I can.'
Manchester City first face Luton Town on Saturday in the Premier League, before the second leg against Real Madrid next Wednesday.
