Ryan Garcia has claimed he has carried the promotion of his fight with Devin Haney 'on his back', as he blamed his opponent for the low ticket sales.

Garcia is scheduled to face Haney, the WBC light welterweight champion, at the Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 20.

The 25-year-old was quizzed about poor ticket sales for the event at a "media workout as he continues his preparations for the fight.

Garcia insisted the poor sales were due to Haney not being 'a draw', while he claimed to have advocated for lower prices for the event. 

‘Devin Haney is not a draw, and I definitely have been carrying this promotion on my back by myself,' Garcia said.
