Manchester United are plotting an £80million move for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, according to reports. 

The 21-year old has had a stand-out season despite Everton's on-going relegation battle and was called up to the most recent England squad. 

His performances have attracted attention from a number of top sides and United are keen to beat off heavy competition to land Branthwaite. 

That's according to The Sun, who claim the Red Devils want to make him their marquee signing in the rebuild under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
