Penrith star Taylan May is reportedly being investigated by his club after posting a video that appears to show him in a car that's doing almost double the speed limit in a residential area.
May's video seems to show him in a powerful Audi luxury car that's being driven in a built-up area with the speedometer clearly showing 96kmh.
In the footage, the driver brakes hard as the vehicle approaches a pedestrian crossing and one of the passengers says, 'Holy moly, bro!'
A link to the Sydney-based Ruthless Rentals car hire business had been added to the footage, with distinctive tattoos on the driver's left arm proving May is not behind the wheel.
The Instagram accounts for both May and Ruthless Rentals had been taken down at the time of writing.

Under NSW law, a speed limit of 50kmh applies to all built-up areas in the state unless a lower limit is enforced in the area - for example, because there is a school in the vicinity.
