Bayern Munich have reportedly approached former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to replace Thomas Tuchel as their next boss.
The Bavarian giants were forced to watch jubilant celebrations from rivals Bayer Leverkusen as they beat them to the Bundesliga title after a so-far unbeaten season that has seen them go 16 points clear of them in the table.
The club already announced in February that Tuchel was set to leave in the summer after an underwhelming season that saw the team go out in the German cup to amateur side Saarbrucken before seeing Leverkusen race away with the league.
With the season all but over - apart from a glimmer of hope in the Champions League - preparations are now well underway in the search for a new coach and three-time Champions League winner Zidane is said to be a top target, according to German outlet Bild.
The report claims the club have reached out to him with a proposal to take over from the 2024-25 season, with legendary former player Franck Ribery possibly coming in as his assistant manager.
