Adam Peaty has confessed that he 'pushed everyone away' amid a battle with alcoholism and depression, with Britain's Olympic swimming start revealing that going back to church has helped him become a better person.
Peaty stepped away from the sport a year ago due to fatigue and concerns over his mental health.
The 29-year-old has since returned and will defend his Olympic title in the 100m breaststroke as one of a 33-strong Team GB swimming team this summer.
