Wrexham were denied the League Two title after Stockport County's victory over Notts County on Tuesday night.

The Hollywood-owned Welsh side achieved their promotion to League One on Saturday after their 6-0 demolition of Forest Green Rovers.

However, despite marking back-to-back promotions, there was still anticipation amongst the side as they awaited Stockport's result.

Wrexham still had a slim chance to finish the season as champions, had Stockport slipped up in their final games, however a 5-2 victory over Notts County saw them take the title.

Paddy Madden’s first-half hat-trick secured the win, despite a brief second-half comeback from Notts County.
