Wrexham were denied the League Two title after Stockport County's victory over Notts County on Tuesday night.
The Hollywood-owned Welsh side achieved their promotion to League One on Saturday after their 6-0 demolition of Forest Green Rovers.
However, despite marking back-to-back promotions, there was still anticipation amongst the side as they awaited Stockport's result.
Wrexham still had a slim chance to finish the season as champions, had Stockport slipped up in their final games, however a 5-2 victory over Notts County saw them take the title.
Paddy Madden’s first-half hat-trick secured the win, despite a brief second-half comeback from Notts County.
