Just days away from his son Devin facing Ryan Garcia for the WBC super lightweight title at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Bill Haney made a controversial warning towards the challenger.
On Tuesday, the two boxers went on top of the Empire State Building for promotion and engaged in a faceoff with the Manhattan skyline in the background.
In the same event where his son shoved his rival away in front of media members, Haney made it clear they are ready for Garcia to die in the ring come Saturday.
'He disrespected boxing, he disrespected people, he disrespected the sport,' Haney told the press. 'If he dies, he dies, just like [Ivan] Drago said.'
'This ain't no game,' he continued. 'I'm sending my son to go kill him.'
