Jason Kelce has revealed that he was close to playing alongside his younger brother, Travis, on the Kansas City Chiefs, as he reflects on his anxious wait to be drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011.  

Footage of Jason from last year on the NFL Network made the rounds on X ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft on April 25 in Detroit, as the former center remembered exactly the way things went down when he was selected as the No. 191 overall pick on draft night, 13 seasons ago. Jason - a one-time Super Bowl champion (LII) - retired from the NFL in March.

'I knew I was a Day 3 guy. You know, I had two teams really interested: Kansas City and the Philadelphia Eagles. I thought they were the two teams that showed the most interest early in the process,' he said in a rare sight of himself in a suit and tie.

'I decided I didn't want to watch the draft so my family, my brother, my mom and dad, my uncle, we all went bowling. Round 4 passes, round 5 passes... at this point we're done bowling. Sure enough, a 205 number starts ringing on my phone - the Philadelphia area code - and it's Andy Reid,' Jason continued.
