Haley and Hanna Cavinder last played for Miami during the 2022-2023 season before quitting the sport to pursue other ventures, including appearances for the WWE's NXT brand. Haley first announced a comeback using her extra year of eligibility allowed by the NCAA due to the coronavirus pandemic last November. Haley transferred away from Miami and landed at TCU. While Hanna's announcement comes with a video of her playing at Miami, and ends with an orange-heart emoji, the declaration does not expressly state she will be returning to the Hurricanes. Hanna has not also entered the transfer portal as of yet, like her twin sister. 'My last season of basketball was one of the most successful & challenging (years) of my life but it helped me grow immensely,' Hanna said on social media 'The past few months I have been itching to get back to the game that I thought I lost the passion for. With that being said, I am returning for one more (season).'
