Fans have been left curious over a period of play involving Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin early on in his side's win over Manchester City.

The Ukraine goalkeeper was one of the stars for the Spanish side in their second leg victory over City in the intense showdown at the Eithad, making 10 saves in the game as his side faced several periods of defending against the champions.

While he could do little to prevent Kevin De Bruyne netting the equaliser, he was on hand to claw away a number of other opportunities and help take the game to penalties, before saving two spot kicks to take his side to the last four of the competition.

The 25-year-old has stepped up in the absence of Thibaut Courtois this season, managing to keep ahead of Chelsea loanee Kepa Arrizabalaga in the pecking order.
