Former PSG star Sammy Traore has been handed a 16-match ban for his behaviour towards a referee during an Under 16s match last month.
Traore, who played for PSG between 2006 and 2011, is now the sporting director for fourth-tier French side US Creteil Lusitanos, and attended their Under 16s match against Racing Club De France on March 23.
The match finished 2-1 to Racing Club De France, but was overshadowed by Traore's behaviour, with the assistant referee's report alleging that he walked across the pitch at one stage to delay the resumption of play and 'encouraged his players to commit serious fouls on their opponents'.
Traore then turned his attention to the referee and proceeded to insult him, before entering the pitch
