Joao Cancelo has revealed that his family have been sent 'death wishes' after Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

PSG overturned a 3-2 defeat in the first-leg to secure a dramatic 6-4 victory against Barcelona at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, with Luis Enrique's side going on to secure a berth in the semi-finals, where they'll take on Borussia Dortmund.

Cancelo, who is on loan from Manchester City, played 82 minutes of the match and was involved in a controversial incident just on the hour mark, where he conceded a penalty for lunging in on ex-Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele

Kylian Mbappe subsequently scored the spot kick to put Paris a goal ahead on aggregate, before the Frenchman returned to compound Barcelona's woes further, scoring a second goal less than ten minutes later.

In an interview with ESPN, the Portuguese full-back, who has been criticised for giving away the penalty, admitted that the messages had been made to his family and his unborn baby on social media.
