The Chicago Bears have selected Caleb Williams No 1 overall to begin the 2024 NFL Draft. 

Williams has long been labeled as the best quarterback in his class ever since winning the Heisman Trophy in 2022. 

The Bears moved on from 2021 first-round selection Justin Fields to make room for Williams, trading him to the Pittsburgh Steelers last month for a 2025 sixth-round draft. 

After Chicago dealt Fields, the union between Williams and the Bears was all but official, with Thursday night silencing any doubts to a rouge pick.

When asked what his first goal would be as Bears quarterback, Williams told ESPN: 'Learning all my teammates names.'
