Jonny Bairstow made his case for inclusion in England's T20 World Cup squad with a blistering 108 not out off 48 balls in the IPL at Eden Gardens.
His top-order rival Phil Salt had hammered 75 off 37 balls as Kolkata Knight Riders reached 261 for six, but the previously out-of-form Bairstow responded with nine sixes as Punjab Kings completed a record T20 chase with eight wickets and eight balls to spare.
England name their squad on Tuesday.
