Channel 7 star Ryan Daniels has admitted to using a 'poor choice of words' following an awkward moment with a footy player on Saturday night.
Daniels was on the ground to interview Andrew Brayshaw after his Fremantle side defeated Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in Perth.
However, fans were not best pleased with one particular question posed to Brayshaw by Daniels during Seven's post-match coverage.
'You come out in that Derby, you get punched in the face by a young West Coast Eagles team. How do you turn it around in the space of a week?' Daniels asked.
A number of fans believed Daniels' 'punch in the face' remark was him alluding to Brayshaw being hit by Eagles player Andrew Gaff during the Derby in 2018.
However, Daniels insisted he was referring to last week's shock defeat by West Coast, not the ugly incident of six years ago.
