Melbourne Demons AFL premiership winner Kysaiah Pickett has welcomed the birth of his first child in a heartwarming post on Instagram.
The 22-year-old forward beamed with pride as he sat beside his partner Ardu Cubillo and their new arrival, with the joint post captioned: '19.04.24. The best day of our lives,' with a love heart emoji.
He had indicated that he had become a father during Melbourne's round 7 win over Richmond, making a baby cradling gesture after he scored.
Pickett is known for keeping his private life out of the spotlight but a quick look at his Instagram shows he's known Cubillo for at least a year.
He has previously posted photos of them posing in the hallway of a property and also put up a shot of her on walking a dog.
