Footy commentator Paul Kent has been hospitalised with as many as five broken ribs and a suspected collapsed lung after his alleged street fight on Saturday night, his lawyer said on Tuesday.
Footage that went viral on social media on Sunday morning showed Kent and another man arguing outside the Three Weeds hotel in the inner-west Sydney suburb of Rozelle before the altercation allegedly became physical.
Kent has been suspended from his roles with Fox Sports and the Daily Telegraph while his employers investigate the incident.
A 35-year-old man presented himself at Balmain police station at about 6.45pm on Sunday before being taken to Newtown police station in the city's inner west and charged with affray after officers launched an investigation when they became aware of the video.

Now Kent's lawyer George Elias has said his client is receiving treatment in hospital to see if he suffered a collapsed lung in addition to four or five broken ribs in the alleged altercation.
'He's been in hospital since after the incident,' Elias told the Sydney Morning Herald.
'I'm just concerned about his health and wellbeing.'
