Columnist and author Peter FitzSimons has reignited his feud with James Graham after the former footy star turned commentator recently called him a 'parasite'.
FitzSimons used his latest column in the Sydney Morning Herald to reiterate his strong thoughts on concussion, namely past and present NRL players with the deadly brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
The former Wallabies lock spoke at length with Dr Chris Nowinski, a respected medical expert on concussion.
'To prevent CTE, we have to reduce both the number and strength of head impacts,' the US-based doctor said.
'Studies show kick-offs in American football cause many of the highest magnitude head impacts. Changing the kick-off was thought to be untouchable, but the NFL just made the unexpected move of dramatically changing them for the 2024 season to protect players.'

It comes after former footy star turned commentator James Graham recently called Fitzsimons a 'parasite'
Dr Nowinski called on the NRL to eradicate kick-offs, pointing out 'extraordinary head impacts are inevitable' during that passage of play.
It comes after Graham - who previously labelled FitzSimons a 'parasite' - said on NRL 360 this week kick-offs are an integral part of the sport, and should remain so.
Graham has previously admitted scans revealed his brain is damaged from his playing career and 'losing volume'.
The high profile pair have been feuding for years - they first clashed in 2019 when the Fairfax scribe questioned the retired prop stating he was willing to 'accept' the risk of head knocks as part and parcel of professional rugby league.
In 2022, Graham then accused FitzSimons of ambushing him and putting him on show at a concussion seminar.
