Aberdeen interim manager Peter Leven will miss his side's Premiership match against St Johnstone today after being rushed to hospital.

Leven, who has stepped in until new boss Jimmy Thelin takes charge, underwent an emergency operation on Friday night and remains under medical supervision. 

Coaches Scott Anderson, Craig Samson and Stuart Duff will replace Leven on the touchline at Pittodrie alongside player-coach Jonny Hayes. 

The club have confirmed in a statement that Leven's procedure was successful and the 40-year-old is expected to make a full recovery.
