New York Yankees star Aaron Judge got ejected for the first time in his career in front of their home crowd on Saturday afternoon.
Judge got a quick turnaround when he struck out and made his displeasure heard at the bottom of the seventh.
Home plate umpire Ryan Blankley tossed the Yankee captain on his way back to the dugout before Judge came back to confront the official.
The heated yet still measured argument prompted Yankees manager Aaron Boone to hop out of the dugout to defend Judge and momentarily hold him back from Blankley.
'[I'm] very surprised,' Judge said when asked about the ejection. 'Especially a 5-3 game, late in the game, bat-on 3-2 count.
