The one-time fugitive brother and manager of Socceroos star Garang Kuol has been found guilty of a brazen bank scam, using counterfeit money, dealing cocaine and fleeing police.

Kuol Mawien Kuol, who is also the brother of rising football star Alou Kuol, had been on the run since July 2022 after he failed to show in court and skipped bail on fraud charges, including ripping off a World War II veteran while working for National Australia Bank.

Now behind bars in Victoria's Ravenhall Correctional Centre, the 26-year-old 's wild crime spree was detailed in a Victorian Court on Tuesday.

It included him selling cocaine to undercover police officers, having 'rocks' of the drug at his home, and impersonating his brother Garang by using his driver's licence.

The Magistrates Court of Victoria hearing was told that Kuol was eventually captured at Sydney's Star Casino in breach of his bail conditions which restricted him from leaving Victoria.

Kuol had secretly skipped the state for New South Wales where he began managing his little brother.

Meanwhile, back in Victoria, he had another Sudanese-Australian sign in on bail pretending to be him at a major Melbourne police station.

When police eventually cottoned on to the scam, the rogue player agent took to social media to taunt a Victoria Police detective tasked with bringing him in - and accusing cops of stealing $120,000 from him.

He sat passively scribbling in a notebook from prison as his audacious series of crimes was read out in court after he entered pleas and several counts were withdrawn.

Kuol had worked as a teller at NAB branches in Shepparton and Kyabram in northern Victoria, where he shamelessly fleeced customer accounts of about $63,000.

Three victims were aged in their 70s and 80s and the oldest was a man robbed of $28,200.

The 95-year-old World War II returned serviceman, who was Kuol's most targeted victim, was robbed from the account in which his war pension was deposited in six hits of between $500 and $9200 over eight weeks around Christmas, 2020.

Kuol, who goes by the Twitter handle @kuoloneking, also stole
