Napoli have reportedly contacted Man United over a possible move for Mason Greenwood

Greenwood, 22, is currently on a season-long loan with Getafe and is expected to leave United permanently this summer.

The forward was shipped out from Old Trafford last September after it was mutually agreed he would play no further role with the club following an internal investigation.

This came after criminal allegations against him of attempted rape, assault and coercive control were dropped. The 22-year-old denied all the charges. 

Greenwood's move to Spain was widely criticised but he has been well-supported by Getafe and their fans since his arrival, while he has excelled on the pitch, scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances for the LaLiga outfit.

And, according to The Athletic, Napoli have made contact with United over a potential move for the forward this summer.

The report claims Getafe also want to bring the forward, who last played for United in a Premier League game against West Ham on January 22 2022, back for a second loan, but he is expected to receive significant interest from across Europe.
