Houston Texans receiver Tank Dell is back in practice with the team less than a month after being shot outside a Florida nightclub.

Dell, 24, was one of 10 people wounded when a 16-year-old gunman opened fire at a packed Cabana Live in Sanford on April 27.

Reports claimed the NFL star was not involved in the altercation that led to the shooting and had merely been 'caught in the cross-fire', before being taken to hospital that evening.

The following day, the Texans announced that he had been released while in 'good spirits' after sustaining a minor wound.

Just over three weeks since the shooting, Dell returned to practice with his Houston teammates on Tuesday, with footage from ESPN reporter DJ Bien-Aime showing him taking a pass from quarterback CJ Stroud on the field.

The Florida-born wideout is entering his second season in the NFL after a strong rookie year which saw him record 709 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games before his season was cut short due to injury.
