Popularized by Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, the phrase 'Bring Ya A**' was surreptitiously included into a proclamation by Governor Tim Walz on Wednesday before his team blew Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals to the visiting Dallas Mavericks

'Bring Ya Ass' was Edwards' way of inviting TNT's Charles Barkley to the Land of 10,000 Lakes after Minnesota's Western Conference Semifinals win over the defend-champion Denver Nuggets. When the NBA legend-turned-analyst confessed he hasn't been to Minnesota in 20 years, Edwards laughed and told Chuck to do just that.

But on Wednesday, before the Timberwolves' 108-105 Game 1 loss, Walz released a proclamation declaring it: 'Wolves Back Day.'

Only to anyone who noticed the first letter of each paragraph, the proclamation contained a hidden message: 'BRING YA ASS.'

Luka Doncic had 15 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter to lift the Dallas Mavericks to a 108-105 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals on Wednesday night.
