Nate Diaz is expecting a huge payday if he is to step inside the octagon for a third and final time with Conor McGregor.

The Irishman is set to return to the UFC following his defeat to Floyd Mayweather and the promotion is targeting a rubber match with Diaz for the end of this year.

The Stockton bad boy shocked the world when he submitted McGregor last year in the pair's first meeting before The Notorious pulled of a hard-fought decision victory in a thrilling rematch.

And after seeing what McGregor made in fighting Mayweather, Diaz's team are looking for big money for their part in what is the biggest fight the UFC can put together.

'At least $20m (£15.5m), $30m (£23m),' coach Richard Perez told Submission Radio.

'Come on. UFC's making a whole lot of money, a whole lot of money and they're pocketing it. They're giving more to McGregor, so it's not fair because it takes two in that ring to draw a crowd – I mean, a good two fighters.
