Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde felt Gerard Pique's handball in the Champions League victory against Olympiacos was instinctive, rather than an attempt to deceive the officials.
Valverde's team played most of the match with 10 men after Pique was sent off two minutes before half time in Wednesday night's 3-1 win at the Nou Camp.
The defender was booked early on for a cynical pull back on Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and he received a second yellow card when Scottish referee Willie Collum decided he tried to deliberately score with his hand from a Gerard Deulofeu cross.
