sport news Flanker Teimana Harrison targets England call-up

Teimana Harrison hopes a few pointers from Eddie Jones can help revive his England career.

The Northampton flanker has been in the Test wilderness since facing Fiji last December, but revealed England boss Jones has mapped out his route back to the senior squad.

Now the 25-year-old admits he must deliver a string of rounded performances with Saints to stand any chance of forcing his way back into Jones' England line-up.

'I haven't really had any long discussion with Eddie, but I've had feedback on my performances. And I need that consistency in my carrying and defensive game.

'He said he was happy with my defence in the first couple of games, then my attack in one game. And so now it's about mixing it all together.

'(In) Some games my defence has been really good but I've lacked on the carrying side, and in others I've carried well but lacked a bit in defence. I'm just trying to put both of those together at the same time, and get a good, consistent run.
