Notts County have been ordered to pay John Sheridan £125,000 after the club's former boss won an appeal against the grounds for his dismissal.
Sheridan was sacked in January after County lost nine league games in a row. The League Two club claimed he was shown the door for gross misconduct after he was hit by a five-match touchline ban for an X-rated tirade at officials during one of those defeats, rather than poor form.
Sheridan, backed by the League Managers Association, launched an appeal against his sacking, claiming gross misconduct was not the sole reason.
