Michael Owen was sent crashing back down to earth on Thursday as he fell off his horse twice ahead of his racing debut at Ascot later this month.
The former Liverpool and England striker will ride in a seven-furlong contest on November 24 to raise money for the Prince's Countryside Fund and has been stepping up his preparations.
But as he rode out at Newmarket's British Racing School he was given quite the reality check as he ended up on his backside.
