David Leatherdale, the chief executive of the Professional Cricketers' Association, has been signed off work for a month due to ill health.

The news was delivered at the PCA's AGM on Wednesday and coincides with a period in which England players have become increasingly agitated by multiple issues overseen by their union.

Angry senior internationals have been firing off emails for weeks, after being left in the dark over what happens next following the loss of their car sponsorship deal with Toyota.
