Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter has blasted his old colleagues for using the World Cup to experiment with video replay technology.

Blatter's Twitter outburst came after a series of blunders involving the Video Assistant Referee, which is currently being trialled in the FA Cup, Serie A, Bundesliga and other competitions around the world.

The sport's law-making body IFAB is due to decide on Saturday whether to approve VAR on a permanent basis and FIFA has already said it intends to use the system at this summer's World Cup in Russia.
