Former British high jumper Mike Edwards has called on IAAF president Seb Coe to 'stop being a coward and call me' after his attempts to represent Nigeria at the Commonwealth Games were rejected by the governing body.

Edwards, who won the British indoors title in February, had his request blocked because he represented Britain at the European Junior Championships in 2009.

Many athletes have previously switched nation, but rules introduced in 2017 have frozen the process pending
