Chelsea will step up efforts to bring Newcastle captain Jamal Lascelles to the club this summer with the Blues believing he is the 'next John Terry'.
Lascelles, who joined Newcastle from Nottingham Forest in 2014, has become integral for Rafa Benitez's side and will be in demand from the Premier League top six.
But Chelsea, according to the Mirror, want to steal a march on their rivals for his signature by making a £30million offer for the 24-year-old.
