Zlatan Ibrahimovic lived up to the billing by netting two sensational strikes on his Galaxy debut in the inaugural LA derby on Saturday.

The Swedish star's second goal was the one that secured the three points but his first - a half-volley from 40 yards - was the perfect way to open his account for his new club.

Ibrahimovic, who is still working his way back to full fitness after sustaining a major knee injury last April, admitted he only attempted the audacious long-ranged shot because he 'was tired'.
