Thousands of photos of drivers have become available for download on the dark web, following a 'major' breach of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Many of the photos clearly show the drivers' faces, as well as license plate and car make-and-model, according to Motherboard.
It comes after, just a few days earlier, CBP officials said there was no evidence that the hacked images had been uploaded to the dark web.

US Customs and Border Protection revealed earlier this week that a data breach had resulted in photos and videos of travelers and vehicles being exposed.
CBP said it affected 'fewer than 100,000 people,' as the images were taken from a single lane at a border checkpoint.
