Customers just can't get enough folding phones. 

Chinese tech giant, Huawei says it's rivaling the likes of Samsung in its bid to popularize a new line of premium smart phones with a folding display.

According to the company, it's now selling 100,000 units of its $2,400 Mate X per month which rivals an updated estimate from Samsung that it has sold between 400,000 to 500,000 Galaxy Folds - its own folding device - since September.

Samsung initially claimed that it sold 1 million units last month, but quickly backtracked on that figure.
