Elon Musk confirmed that he's not planning to build an airport for himself and top executives at his companies outside of Austin - batting down the rumor on Twitter.
In response to a tweet of a news story about the rumored new airport on Thursday, the Tesla CEO said: 'Not true. Tesla is 5 mins from Austin International airport.'
'Would be silly to build another private airport, however the existing commercial airport needs another runway, as Austin is growing fast!'
The story about airport was originally published by Austonia. No word yet on whether the Austin Bergstrom International Airport is planning on adding another runway to deal with the fast-growing city's increasing air traffic.
