Amazon is experiencing issues this afternoon, leaving Britons unable to checkout. 

According to Down Detector, the issues started at around 12:20 GMT and are affecting customers accross the UK. 

MailOnline tried to access the app and found that we were unable to complete at checkout. 

Instead, a holding page reads: 'Sorry, we're experiencing unusually heavy traffic. Please try again in a few seconds.'
